About

Meet Tom Giles

18 years coaching everyday athletes, runners and competitors — built on professional sport experience and a genuine love of helping people move better and perform.

Tom Giles has spent 18 years as an athletics coach and personal trainer. He's worked with professional sports teams including the Otago Highlanders, Sydney Kings and Central Pulse netball, and ran a rehabilitation clinic for special populations at the University of Otago alongside All Blacks physio Pete Gallagher.

After three years managing gyms in New Zealand and working as a national educator for City Fitness, Tom founded UpToSpeed and moved to Sydney's Lower North Shore in 2013. He's been coaching runners, athletes and teams across Mosman and surrounds ever since.

His approach combines running, strength training and performance education — because lasting results come from training the whole athlete. Today his focus is athletic populations across running, rugby and basketball, from juniors to competitive adults.

Whether you're chasing a marathon PB, a vertical-jump gain or simply want to feel stronger and more capable, every plan is grounded in evidence and adjusted to how you respond — no cookie-cutter programs, no junk volume.
